Diane M. Lake, Kingsborough, is a first-gen student who is making her Haitian and Jamaican family proud by pursuing a college degree. Currently the president of KCC’s student government, the USS vice chair of international student affairs and a student ambassador, she makes being active on campus a priority as she studies early childhood education.
