Happy Canada Day!
Let's celebrate with Canadian crime writers.

Take a break from pandemics and politics to enjoy a good summer read. And if you enjoy reading crime stories, I have some suggestions for you that include exhilarating thrillers, intriguing mysteries, true crime stories, and a selection of short stories from the outstanding authors of Crime Writers of Canada.

My recommendations for your summer reading list:

Two Canadian thriller writers appearing on most international bestseller lists are Linwood Barclay and Rick Mofina. Look them up and choose for yourself, but I recommend FIND YOU FIRST or HER LAST GOODBYE.

Our most famous and internationally acclaimed Canadian crime writer with millions of fans around the world is, of course, Louise Penny. Among her latest are A BETTER MAN and ALL THE DEVILS ARE HERE.

For more mystery and suspense novels and for masterful detectives solving crimes, you might consider Vicki Delany and Iona Whishaw or Mike Martin, Michael Kent and Desmond Ryan. All are highly accomplished writers with a strong following of enthusiastic fans.

That’s my short list! Let me know if I missed any outstanding Canadian crime writers that you would recommend.
Enjoy your summer reading,
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone else you think might be interested. I look forward to your comments and feedback. Thank you and best regards,
