State Chamber Update
The
Delaware State Fair is this week and if you have never attended or have not been in years (or decades), I encourage you to make the trip to Harrington and check it out! With daily temperatures moderating some this week, you’ll find walking around a fun experience, and know that you can always head indoors to cool off as some event space is under roof and in air conditioning. Yes, there are games and rides for the young and young-at-heart, but there are also horses, quilts, tractors, award winning produce and more! You’ll also see exhibits or events sponsored by many different Delaware State Chamber of Commerce members! And, you cannot help but be impressed by the young Delawareans who are a major part of just about everything you’ll see. These are very entrepreneurial and industrious teenagers, and many will emerge as local businessmen and businesswomen or community leaders in the not too distant future.
So, take a short break from the routine of the beach or our many urban areas, and head to this centrally located, easy to reach, Kent County destination, with family or friends. You’ll be glad you did!
