Happy Chanukah - A Year of War, Miracles & Giving

We know that our IDF soldiers are in intense battles to save the Jewish people and state. Therefore, we at Standing Together need to be fully prepared for the IDF! So we purchased three new freezers at a cost of 3,000 NIS each and loaded them with waffles, parve ice cream, ices, cakes, hotdogs and more. We purchased hundreds of soups and snacks, cold drinks, coffee, teas and bottled water.

250 Standing Together warm winter jackets were given out at a special event for IDF soldiers who just served over 100 days in Gaza. We are thrilled to show our support for the heroes protecting Israel. We want to thank you, our Standing Together donors, for being the power behind the Warm Hug Campaign which is truly helping IDF soldiers! Our goal 1,000 warm jackets for IDF soldiers.

To all our wonderful donors and volunteers, your contributions to Standing Together, enabled the giving of hundreds of pairs of tzizit, siddurim, winter jackets and gloves, to hundreds of IDF soldiers serving in the north and south of Israel. The IDF recognizes your special contribution.

Thanks to your generousity, Standing Together and United With Israel raised tens of thousands of dollars for Pesach supermarket gift cards and food supplies for IDF soldiers. When other individuals and organizations heard about the Standing Together Pesach Campaign, they immediately got involved. In addition to financial contributions, Matzo, meat and other food for Seder night were donated.

Our Standing Together donors and volunteers have received an award from Brigade #36. These soldiers fought difficult battles in Gaza, protecting Israel with all their strength. They are very thoughtful to thank Standing Together for our unending generosity during these very difficult days!

Shavuot is the time to be Standing Together. It commemerates the giving of the Torah to all the Jewish people at Mount Sinai. This Shavuot, please take a moment to think of the Israeli soldiers who have been fighting Israel's enemies since October 7th. As of the writing of this newsletter, the hostages have been imprisoned and the war has been raging for 248 days. Many IDF soldiers have been in active duty since the start of the war.

Standing Together is spending the summer bringing tasty snacks and cooling treats to the IDF who are defending Israel on the battlefield and who are in training. We love the IDF and respect their dedication to Am Yisrael, to Eretz Yisrael, and to keeping each and every one of us safe. May they all be blessed. Join us in making a difference in an IDF soldiers' day!

So what can we, the donors and volunteers at Standing Together, do? We can bring a small taste of summer to IDF soldiers as often as possible. Our Standing Together Hospitality Food Truck will be going out to the soldiers defending the 7 different borders of Israel. We will play inspiring music, dance with the soldiers if possible and give out ice cream, waffles, donuts, cooling drinks and other tasty snacks.

Thanks to your generosity, Standing Together volunteers brought sweet snacks to more than 500 IDF soldiers who have been protecting Israel's southern border with Gaza. Our volunteers drove to many different locations in the south to treat as many soldiers as possible. The trip took over 10 hours, but somehow when you are Standing Together, the impossible is possible!

October

Today is October 7th. Standing Together continues praying for the Hostages even more today than ever. We have not forgotten them. May they be released from captivity very soon.

We at Standing Together are remembering the unarmed civilians who were murdered and those who fell fighting to protect themselves, their neighbors, the people of Israel. We have not forgotten them.

Even after a year of giving.... We do not have donor fatigue. That is not an option. If our soldiers are in the field, Standing Together is there with them.

November

This November, our beloved Hospitality Truck is on a heartfelt mission, traveling to various locations across Israel to deliver sweet snacks and treats to our brave IDF soldiers. Each bite of these delightful offerings is a reminder of the love and support from our community, lifting the spirits of those who dedicate their lives to protect us. Thanks to your generous contributions, we can continue to spread joy and warmth during these challenging times. Together, we are making a meaningful impact, one sweet bite at a time.

December

Our Wish for this coming year: A new fully loaded Standing Together Hospitality Truck in honor of all the heroes, those who are still fighting and those who gave their lives as well as those who were injured both mentally and physically during the Iron Swords War. The new truck will enable Standing Together volunteers to visit many more soldiers and visit different bases around the country. With the new truck, Standing Together will be able to take out more families to visit IDF soldiers and show their support.
