Welcoming you to a new year of the Wood Horse!  With every new Lunar year, 1 of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals is celebrated.  Do you know what your Chinese zodiac animal is?  Take a look here:

Growing up, we always celebrated Chinese New Year dinner on the eve.  Foods to enhance the year's wealth and prosperity were always present during this dinner such as chicken, noodles, fish and oranges.  Of course that was the case in my family.  Red envelopes stacked with money were also given to children so you can imagine the excitement for any kid!

For adults, it can also mean a time to re-invent your New Years resolution.  Like me, did you think January flew by all too quickly? And did you think that your gym membership would finally come to use and that you would attend more than you thought you would? Read the articles attached in this newsletter to see how Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can help with weight loss. I've also attached a "think outside the box" article on how to shed those unwanted pounds.   Think of Chinese New Years as a second chance to boost your motivation and get back in to shape!
Acupuncture can help with a medley of things ranging from low energy especially during these winter months, lack of motivation, stress, improved metabolism and increase immune system support, to name a few.  I am always happy to discuss any questions you may have.  Remember, getting healthy is a process.  The hardest part is starting that journey.

Wishing a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
