December 1, 8 -

Tioga County Veteran's Service Agency Free Journaling class. Relieve stress.

December 3 -

Candor Community Chorus presents "Season of Joy" at 7 PM, Candor High School Auditorium.

December 9 and 10 -

Reindeer Run. There are seven small-town businesses participating, includeing Brewed Awakening, Side Hill Acres Goat Farm, Bostwick's Antique Mall, and Kathy's Korner Gift Shop from Candor. The shops are full of goodies and looking forward to your visit. Each location has one door prize drawing which you enter separately at each stop. If you visit all seven and collect their stamps, you will be entered in the Grand Prize Drawing. See paper below for more info.

December 10 -

Making Natural Creams and Salves with Suzanne Johnson. 10 AM at Candor Free Library. Participants get to take home a salve & cream that we make! There is no charge for the class! Register by contacting Candor Free Library @ 607.659-7258 or [email protected]

Billion Berry Farm

Customize your own rustic hand-stamped handless mugs. These make great beverage holders and even toasty hand warmers! Not into liquids? These can become great all purpose containers for pencils, pens, paint brushes, tools, candy, etc.

Each mug holds about 10-12 ounces (larger sizes can be purchased for a different price). Interior is a speckled white, exterior can be either blue or speckled white.

Every mug is first wheel thrown, then trimmed at the base and bisque fired. Next the mug is hand-stamped and stained. The stain is then scrubbed off and glaze is applied. This process is time consuming and labor intensive however I really enjoy the final appreance and feel each obtains their own personality as a result.

PRICES:

$25 for a handless mug with one line of 7 or less characters.

$30 for a handless mug with two lines of 7 or less characters.

MAKING NATURAL CREAMS AND SALVES

December 10th @ 10am

We know the importance of putting natural and organic products in our bodies for optimal health, but how much consideration do we give to what we put ON our bodies?

Our skin is our largest organ that readily absorbs all it comes in contact with. We need to feed it with natural products to keep it healthy and glowing!

Suzanne Johnson of Wildmoon Homesteading will introduce some basic herbs, oils and natural preservatives and show you how to prepare them.

She will also share the basics of gathering herbs, making herbal oils and sources for recipes and ingredients.

Participants take home a salve & cream that we make!

Pucky Huddle Delight

in the Pennysaver!

Pucky Huddle Delight, a woman-owned business located at 71 Owego Rd. (Rte. 96B) in Candor, N.Y., celebrated their 20th anniversary in October. Customers travel far and wide to visit the popular purple building, located just north of the Rte. 96 and 96B intersection.

Inside, first-time visitors and sewing enthusiasts alike will be in awe at the racks filled with over 7,000 bolts of quality quilting fabrics in cotton and cotton flannels, pre-cut fat quarters, half-yards and one-yard cuts, and more, and from well-known manufacturers. Inventory changes frequently.
