The 14 th Annual Solar Wine Sun-Lite Tour by Solar Oregon will be on Friday, April 24 th this year! We are simplifying and changing it up a bit this year. There will be solar information, solar systems to learn about, and wine tasting to be enjoyed, all in support of Solar Oregon! This year it is a self-guided tour, hosted by three amazing Oregon wineries: Elk Cove Vineyards, Ridgecrest, and Eminent Domaine.

Several communities across Oregon are exploring or implementing projects that combine energy efficiency, solar power, and energy storage to create more sustainable and resilient living environments.

In this session, panelists will share real-world examples of these projects, walking through the planning process, key decisions, and lessons learned along the way. By highlighting these efforts, we hope to inspire other retirement communities and housing providers to explore similar solutions as they plan for a more sustainable and resilient future.

Balcony solar has become common in Germany, and there is growing interest in the United Stated to get balcony solar legislation passed in multiple states. Utah passed a balcony solar bill in 2025 and Virginia is on it's way to passing a balcony solar bill this year.
