Backstage Moms are needed to make our annual recital run so smoothly. Please sign up by clicking the link below. Moms, Grandmas or Aunts are more than welcome to sign up! In return you will receive two show tickets, and a free t-shirt to wear while working. Photo of shirt below!

You do not have to volunteer for your dancers' class.

BUTTERFLY BALLET

Butterfly Ballet is for young dancers, ages 2.5-5 years old. These students will learn basic pre-ballet moves and perform in our Annual Show with their instructor on June 7th & June 8th.

TWO CLASS OPTIONS!

SATURDAYS - 9:00-9:30am

TUESDAYS - 3:45-4:15pm

If you are unable to attend our Butterfly Ballet Open House, please stop by the office Monday-Thursday anytime between 4:00-6:00pm. We encourage all families to get their dancer fitted for shoes prior to April 8th so we can get items ordered and ready for dancers before their first class.

TIGHTS

Please remember all dancers need new tights for Recital. Dancers were supposed to have a new pair of tights for picture days, which could also be worn for show. If by chance you didn't get a new pair for pictures or missed picture days, please be sure that your dancer has fresh tights for dress rehearsal and shows. It's also a good idea, particularly for our tiny dancers, for you to have a backup pair on hand, as accidents happen with snags and make-up from time to time. While we will have some on hand at the stage for emergencies, it's always best to be prepared!

Final REQUIRED Class is held onstage the week of June 1st-4th. Please note your class(es) may NOT be on the same day/time.

Also, each class time is shortened to accommodate our full week!

FREE TICKET FORM

CDA students for the current season, wishing to attend a show in which they are not dancing, can enter for FREE!

Dancers can only attend the shows which they are NOT dancing one time free of charge, so be sure to select which day/show.

For example, a dancer from the Tiny Show may attend the Saturday Youth Show for free. If that same dancer is going to attend the Youth Show on Sunday, a ticket will need to be purchased.

ATTEN-DANCE

PLEASE NOTE: When dancers are making up absences they will need to wear the appropriate attire for the class which they are attending. Dancers have one month to make up any absence.

• Reminder that students can not miss more than 4 classes between January and Show. Students can make up in another class at the same level or a similar level.
• Dancers may also take private lessons to make up their absences.
• Tech classes can also be taken as make up classes for students in Ballet, Jazz and Tap. If you have any questions about what class your student can take to make up the office or the teacher would be happy to help you.

BACKPACK FOOD PROGRAM

Join the Central Dance Academy in Supporting our local Backpack Food Program - 5th Year!

From April 6th through April 20th, we will be collecting items to donate to the Backpack Program.

PRACTICE MAKES PROGRESS

Please help your dancer by encouraging good practicing habits outside of class. When dancers practice and know the information which was taught in class they are more excited about returning to class.

TIP: Right when your dancer comes home take a video of what they remember so they can refer back to this information later in the week.

MUSIC

ALL Recital Music has been sent out. If you did not receive your child's music, please let us know. Reminder: you can view the emails in your parent portal and access music for each class within the Resources hyperlink for each respective class

VIDEOS

Videos have been sent, and videos will continue to be sent home as we finish choreography. Please use your videos at home to help your dancer! When dances are completed we will also upload the video for each class within the Resources hyperlink for each respective class.

Needing Additional Help?

If your dancer is needing some additional help with their routines, our faculty does offer private lessons. For more details stop by the office. Your private lesson can also be used as a make up class.
