2024 AAFP Congress of Delegates (CoD) Report

The FAFP delegation participated in the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) 2024 Congress of Delegates (CoD) September 22-25, in Phoenix, AZ, just prior to the AAFP Family Medicine Experience (FMX). Drs. Danielle Carter and Christy Cavanagh, and alternate delegates Drs. George Bernardo and Melanie VanDemark, were joined by EVP Jay Millson, representing the interests of Florida’s Family Physicians on a broad spectrum of issues confronting family physicians and their patients.

You will earn 10 certification points and 8 enduring (not live) CME credits after successful completion of each KSA; ABFM will award these certification points and enduring CME credits.

The Spring 2025 issue of the Florida Family Physician will focus on Community Connection with Patients. Guest Editor, Chris Scuderi, DO, FAAFP, is calling for members to share what they are doing in their community for patients and how they are inspiring others to do the same. This can include individuals or groups doing community work in the state of Florida or throughout the world. If you are interested in authoring an article for the Spring publication, please contact dwalker@fafp.org by Friday, November 8.
