Pchum Ben Holidays Celebrated Together

The main Cambodian celebration, Pchum Ben combines the Khmer words 'Pchum', meaning 'to gather', and 'Ben', a 'ball of food'.

It is a time during which Cambodians honor their ancestors up to seven generations back. Our team have been a family for a long time, standing together in time of joy and sadness.

They started off their Pchum Ben holidays by all going to Temple together to pray and then each member traveled to their home towns to celebrate with family.

WASH in Schools Continued Success

Together with our partners, Rotary Club Sentosa, we are proudly installing school toilets from our 11th Global Grant. Our team has worked diligently in the rainy season to complete the toilets. We have now installed toilet blocks in 49 schools. We are so thrilled that we continue with this healthy sanitary blueprint in so many schools! Hoping for many more in the future!

Graduation

Before going on school break, the students were given a small graduation ceremony with certificates for doing an excellent job. These certificates are prized possessions and ensure that they continue their studies. Their rural parents who value education and want their children to have a brighter future are especially proud.

Donors

A huge thank you to Tawingo Foundation (Hong Kong) who recognizes that NGOs need a stable general fund to keep the organization running smoothly. They generously donated $10,000 via their partner S E Asia Foundation. We are grateful for support of different foundations. It really boosts our confidence and we so appreciate their trust.

Please consider donating to our general fund.
