Thank you!

The Youth of St. Martin's and Christ Church sold soup mixes to benefit the Great Valley and Ardmore Food Cupboards. The $300 goal was reached at St. Martin’s, plus Christ Church collected another $150. There are still 10 jars to sell, so the children will continue this Sunday to see how much more money can be raised!
Chili Cook-Off
The Results Are In!

The Chili Cook-Off was a big success. There were 9 entries - a new record of participants. About 40 people attended, tasted, and voted. Sherrill Rowland did a great job with the set-up in Bolingbroke. Parishioner donations of side dishes and desserts were a nice compliment to the chili entries. The winners are as follows:
First Place: Matt and Kathy Wynn
Second Place: Brian and Lara Penny
Third Place (tie): Deb and Steve Parker & Pattie and Rich Booker

Thanks to all who contributed and attended!
Outreach
The Highland Hamper

Highland Avenue has been most appreciative of our food collection efforts. Please continue to donate the basics (veggies, soup, peanut butter, etc) and this week, Feb 10th, we'll keep a focus on canned fruit and applesauce. As always, thank you so much for your support.
Sunday School

For the Love in February!

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and in Sunday School this week we will focus on love. There will be a love-themed craft, samples of food Jesus may have loved to eat, and then children will look in bibles for the many ways Jesus showed his love for us. We will also start to create new Lego scenes from some of these favorite stories. Children 3 and older can join Ms. Deb in the large Sunday School room at 9:30 a.m. The nursery for younger children will also be open at 9:30. Please contact Ms. Deb if you have suggestions or questions.
Bible Study
Read. Discuss. Reflect.

On Wednesdays in February, the Parallel Gospel Bible Study will be at St. Martin's. All adults, newcomers as well as previous participants are welcome. Books are provided. The discussion starts at 7pm in the large Sunday School room. For more information contact Deb Parker.
All Levels Yoga Class
Breathe, stretch, and destress!

The next St. Martin’s yoga class will be February 19th at 6:30 p.m. Sessions are a mix of spiritual awareness and physical activity. Effort is emphasized over achievement and pose modifications are encouraged to strengthen individual balance. Classes conclude by resting in stillness - the perfect opportunity for a prayer of gratitude. Come and enjoy this mind-body-soul experience!
Choir Rehearsal
Change of Schedule

Please note: There will be no choir rehearsal this Sunday, February 10th. Mary Eileen Johnston will be our organist while Emily is away. Choir rehearsals will resume on Sunday, February 17th at 9:00 AM. Those interested in singing are welcome anytime.
Community Gathering
The Upper Room

St. Martin’s Church, Radnor and Christ Church, Ithan host “The Upper Room”, a mid-week conversational gathering for the community at the Gryphon Cafe, 105 W Lancaster Ave, Wayne. Join us on Wednesday, 2/13, from 6:00-7:00 PM. The topic is "Love your neighbor as yourself, even when you don't like their view on things." All are welcome, so bring a friend to share, learn, and enjoy! A light dinner will be provided. Ample parking is available in the nearby Santander Bank lot.
Community Service
Good Works Update!

Good Works had another opportunity last week to reach out to someone in need. A wheel chair bound tenant of a local apartment complex was unable to take his trash to his dumpster, a distance of about 50 yards. The pile had been growing for some time. CCI and SMC parishioners were able to deposit the accumulated refuge for him, and will set up a schedule for future help.

Thanks to everyone who have donated supplies to Good Works. We still have a few supply needs. There will be a clipboard on the rear table in the Gurley Room for parishioners to “sign up” to supply the remaining items.
Good Works thanks you for your generosity.
