To seek God, and be Christ’s body in the world
Greetings!
Preparing for Sunday!

March 3rd is World Mission Sunday - a day to reflect on our Baptismal Covenant to “seek and serve Christ in all persons” (BCP, p. 305), both at home and throughout the world.

O God, you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth, and sent your blessed Son to preach peace to those who are far off and to those who are near: Grant that people everywhere may seek after you and find you, bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit upon all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Calendar
NOTE: While Fr. Chris is on sabbatical, only one service, 10:00 AM, will be held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of March. The Rev. David Laquintano will be our celebrant for most of those Sundays. Early risers on the 2nd and 4th Sundays are welcome to attend the quiet 8:30 AM Rite II service at Christ Church, Ithan.

Sunday School
Eat, Pray, and Learn!

We are only a week away from Ash Wednesday! Sunday is the last one before Lent and the first day of the new month so Sunday School will begin at about 9:30 a.m. at Bolingbroke (after children have finished breakfast). We will again explore what it means for Christ's light to be in the world because it is Transfiguration Sunday.

Then children and youth of all ages will color the "Alleluia" word. At the end of the 10 a.m. service, the children will roll up the "Alleluia" banner, process out, and store the word for the season of Lent. From Ash Wednesday until the Easter Vigil we don't say the "A" word. Then on Easter Sunday we will joyfully unroll the banner and once again sing "He is risen! Alleluia!"

The nursery will also start at 9:30. Please contact Ms. Deb if you have any questions.

Lent Madness
Saintly Fun!

Want to be inspired by some saintly souls this Lent and have fun along the way? Join with thousands of Christians across denominations who have discovered the joyful online learning community that is Lent Madness. With its unique blend of competition, education, and humor, Lent Madness allows participants to be inspired by the ways in which God has worked through the lives of saints over the generations. Based loosely on the NCAA basketball tournament of a similar name, this online devotion pits 32 saints against one another in a single-elimination bracket as voters choose their favorites throughout Lent. Watch for copies of the saintly brackets on the bulletin board in the downstairs hall at St. Martin's, and printed for you to take home. To learn more, visit the Lent Madness website.
Clothing Drive
Donation Opportunity!

Spring is coming! Time to go through your closet and thin out your wardrobe. St. John’s Episcopal Church in Norristown is in need of clothing, especially blue jeans and men's pants. Perhaps there are some gently used pairs in your closet that might benefit someone in need. There will be a clothes basket on the first floor of St. Martin's marked “Clothing for St John’s”. Any questions, please see Dennis Bingham. Thank you for your generosity!
