To seek God, and be Christ’s body in the world

As we celebrate our nation's freedom, we honor the courageous men and women dedicated to preserving it. Red is for victory. White is for purity. Blue is for loyalty. The strength of this nation lies in the hearts of its people. Have a fun and safe holiday!

God bless the USA!

Care of Our Neighbor

The Sunday experience and nursery will begin at 9:15 in the small Sunday School Room.

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” The second is this, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these.’ Mark 12:30-21

Who is our neighbor and how can we care for him or her? This Sunday we begin to share our ideas about what these questions mean to each of us. We will create pictures of places where we like to eat, play, and visit. Then we can draw figures inviting our neighbors to join us.

Will your family be traveling this week? Then you can have your own conversation while enjoying new experiences and meeting new people. Perhaps at the end of the day your family members can each identify a "neighbor" and talk about a shared experience. If you would like to share a "neighbor" story please write to Ms. Deb or post your pictures and insights on the St. Martin's Family Group Facebook page.
CCI Centennial
A Time to Remember

A group has been formed to organize a special centennial celebration for Christ Church, Ithan on Sunday, November 3rd. It will be a collaborative effort with St. Martin’s. The planning group will meet this Sunday, July 7th at 11:30 AM in the parish library. The event will commemorate the first church service celebrated in the new church building 100 years ago. CCI invites everyone to join in the recognition of this historical milestone.
Bible Study News
July Sessions

We are back at Christ Church Ithan Hall (536 Conestoga Rd, Villanova, PA) at 7:15 p.m. on July 10th. Many of us have traveled in June, so we hope you will rejoin the group if you are back in the area. We will have refreshments and a lively conversation. Last summer a couple of our members brought a friend or family member who was visiting because this group is open to all and no previous experience is required. There are plenty of books, too. If you have questions please contact Deb.

If you would like to learn more about Approaching the Gospels, please visit the website or Facebook page.
All Levels Yoga Class
Breathe, stretch, and destress!

The next St. Martin’s yoga class will be on Tuesday, July 9th, at 6:30 p.m in the Gurley Room. Come and enjoy this opportunity to indulge in some self-care. It's a great mind-body-soul experience!
Gryphon Cafe
A Midweek Gathering

The upstairs room at the Gryphon Cafe where we hold this program is very hot and stuffy on 90+ degree days. Also, attendance has dwindled in these summer months. So, we will not conduct any Upper Room sessions during the months of July and August. We will return in September. Stay tuned for more stimulating topics for our community conversations. See you then.
Socks for the Homeless
Making a Difference

Our collection of white socks for the Joy of Sox organization is an ongoing effort. The basket for drop-offs is located in the downstairs lobby of church. Please contact Carlie Hutton if you have any questions about this project. Thanks for your support!
