Article HeadingClarity & Connection

~Yung Pueblo

In Clarity & Connection, Yung Pueblo describes how intense emotions accumulate in our subconscious and condition us to act and react in certain ways. In his characteristically spare, poetic style, he guides readers through the excavation and release of the past that is required for growth.

5 Goals for 2025:

1. Feed the friendships that feed you. Every friendship is not the same, and there are some that stand above the others. Some connections are deeply rejuvenating, inspiring, and generative – they help you handle the ups and downs of life without you even needing to ask.

2. Energy is limited so use it wisely. Take into account how often you say yes and how often you say no. Do they feel balanced? Are you putting your precious energy into what matters most? Let the fact that life is not everlasting inspire you to be more particular about how you use your time.

3. Treat your body like a temple. Not only is it important to have gratitude for your body that is allowing you the opportunity to experience life but being diligent about finding what actually helps nourish your body will make every aspect of your life easier.

4. Treat your mind like a space you can design. The mind likes easy patterns to follow. Initially it will default to defensive and reactive patterns that are unconscious. When you change your mindset and fully embrace the fact that the mind is highly malleable, you can start feeding it new behavior patterns that support awareness and better outcomes.

5. Take calculated risks. Occasionally choosing a journey that is outside of your comfort zone is good for you. Life is a precious gift that you should make the most of by taking risks that can amplify your growth.

The Efficacy of Astrology

“The Proof is in the Pudding”

Yum! A Classic English Holiday Pudding

The Meaning of Efficacy: – the ability to produce a desired result “The phrase "the proof is in the pudding" originates from the older expression "the proof of the pudding is in the eating," which means that the only way to truly judge the quality of something is by trying it, and it likely dates back to the early 17th century where "pudding" referred to a savory meat dish that could only be properly assessed by tasting it, not the sweet dessert we think of today; essentially, you can't know if a pudding is good until you eat it.”

About The Validity (Efficacy) of Astrology

In this article I will paraphrase the well-known “pudding” saying in a quest to share with those among the newsletter readers who may have questioned why in the world would an accountant, such as Jill Disalvo, choose to include an astrology column in her newsletter. Speaking for myself, and not Jill Disalvo, I will share the reasoning that I think is the case. Her well-meaning motivation I think relates to the fact that, Jill has observed that empirically, events and circumstances in life are accurately revealed in astrology. Thus, given Jill knows managing one’s financial affairs is a complex and challenging mental and practical exercise she believes that any source of insightful help should be taken to account and welcomed. I, thus, share about this topic knowing that, at the end of the day, readers can “take what they need and leave the rest’. The efficacy of astrology is, of course, is a very broad topic. A gigantic, many hundred page book could be written on the subject. For the purposes of this newsletter, I will be brief.

The phrase to be considering herein is:

“When it comes to consulting astrology to ascertain if it has value, the proof is in the extent to which it describes real-life and real-life circumstances”.

Recognize that I did not use the word “believe”. Quite often people who question astrology tell me they are not a “believer”. It is curious to speculate on how these people have come to think believing is necessary. FYI: I have studied this fascinating art for four decades. I have never been asked to pledge any kind allegiance to it.

Real-life Pluto Transformations; Current

November 19, 2024 Pluto, the Planet of Transformation left Capricorn. Pluto achieves its ends (sometimes quite violently) by bringing to light old ways that need to be changed. Capricorn is an earth sign relating to practical matters and Aquarius, where it is now, , is an air sign relating to concepts. Three weeks after this sign change the CEO of United Healthcare was assassinated. This act has brought to light needed changes in how = health insurance is conceived. Pluto will be in Aquarius for the next 20 years. There is plenty of time for conceptual change.

Looking Back in the History of Real-life Pluto Transformations

In December of 2008 Pluto entered Capricorn. Three weeks later Bernie Madoff turned himself into the government for business fraud. Between 2008 and 2024 there have been vast changes in the world’s relationship to finances.

Pluto was in Sagittarius, a fire sign that rules among many other things, religion, from 1995-2008. During this time endless stories of priests being sexual predators were revealed. The world’s perception of the Catholic Church has been forever transformed.

The Astrology of NOW – The December 2025 Solstice

Tomorrow (December 21, 2024) The Sun enters 0 degrees of Capricorn. Zero degrees of the Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) are the points on the zodiac known as the World Axis’. The solstices and equinoxes ALWAYS fall on these world axis points. Thus, they are important worldwide. These astro events happen 4 times a year – year after year. They are notable but because they are so common they are not of great momentous importance. However, this particular solstice is a bit different.

This Capricorn solstice occurs with the Nodes of the Moon also being on the World Axis. The Capricorn Sun is caught in the middle between two points that influence destiny. The Nodes are in Aries that relates to self- awareness and Libra that relates to collective awareness. With this configuration the astro questions for us as individuals becomes:

  • Will I choose to shine (Sun) relative to self-awareness or universal awareness?
  • Is there a choice to be made or must I do both?
  • How and in what way can I do both?

These days as we approach the holidays these may seem to be challenging questions to be asking yourself. And, for now, you may feel clueless, I encourage you to be self compassionate. Remember The Sun is at 0 degrees at the time of the Solstice. There is a blank slate. By the time we get to New Year’s Day the Sun will be at 11 degrees of Capricorn. There will be considerably more volume of intensity and answers may come with greater ease.

In Closing I Wish All Happy-Holidays and the Mental Gift of Incredibly-Helpful-Introspection
