Going to a BBQ this weekend?
Fresh fruit and a hot grill are a match made in summer heaven and a nice alternative to traditional BBQ!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. jumbo shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails on
- Kosher salt
- 1/4 cup store-bought mild jerk sauce
- 1/4 cup store-bought mango chutney
- 2 Tbsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar-based BBQ sauce
- 1 large mango, peeled, cut into 1" pieces
- 3 scallions, cut into 1" pieces
- 2 Tbsp. neutral oil, plus more for grill
- 2 Tbsp. coarsely chopped fresh cilantro

Directions:
- Step 1-Pat shrimp dry and transfer to a large bowl; season with 1 tsp. salt. Add jerk sauce and toss to combine. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 10 minutes and up to 1 hour.
- Step 2-Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine chutney, soy sauce, and BBQ sauce. In a medium bowl, season mango with 1/4 tsp. salt and toss to combine.
- Step 3-To build a skewer, start with a shrimp, then skewer a piece of mango, then a piece (or two) of scallion, and repeat, then end with a shrimp. Drizzle skewers with 2 Tbsp. oil.
- Step 4-Prepare a grill for medium heat; preheat 5 minutes, or heat a grill pan over medium heat. Clean and grease grates or pan with oil.
- Step 5-Working in batches, grill skewers, brushing with chutney-BBQ sauce halfway through, until shrimp is pink and cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Step 6-Transfer skewers to a platter. Brush with remaining sauce and top with cilantro.

Background: How to Use This Information to Your Advantage
Have you ever declared New Year’s resolutions, engaged in an affirmation practice, or created a vision board? Perhaps you, similar to me, have done all of these and more. Our goal was to “prime the pump” to be successful in manifesting one or many of our wishes hopes and dreams. Further, do you follow and engage in the work of Joseph Despensa or another of the many and diverse manifesting guides? All of the above activities share a common premise that to be successful a change in your way of thinking is needed.
In the cosmic scheme of life on planet Earth we are currently in a time leading up to a profound global energy reset. It will occur in the sign of Aries (take note its Aries) in late February 2026 when Saturn and Neptune meet (conjoin) at the exact same point of 0 degrees Aries (the world axis). And, it seems that in the infinite intelligence of the Universe, the cosmos is aware we humans could benefit from a time of Aries inspired review and reflection.
February 20, 2026 (the exact date of the reset) is six months away. By that time all the currently retrograde planets will be “direct”. Notably, Chiron (related to healing) will be the last planet to turn direct. It will do so in early January. Hopefully by then all who wish to have a new healthy, and, if needed, healed vision of what you want to manifest will have naturally evolved in the wake of the promptings from the retrogrades. You can serve yourself by committing to modeling your response to the Ram, the symbol for Aries. Charge into the darkness of the unknown. Push forward to partner with the cosmos committed to be guided change the way you think. There are many resources on the internet for learning more about how to approach doing this in support effective manifesting. You may wish to research and review this. For the immediate time, I recommend reading this article to learn more about the nature of these Aries retrogrades. Further to be self- supporting affirm: “A new healthy and healed vision for my life comes to me with ease and grace.”
Aries RETROGRADES on the Stage of Everyday Life
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. It represents initiative, action, courage, selfhood, and raw life force. Whenever major celestial bodies cluster here, there is a collective push toward new beginnings, boldness, and independence. However, when they are retrograde, that forward momentum turns into an internal process:
instead of charging ahead, we are called turn our urge to charge into introspection about how we approach self-assertion, healing, and responsibility. Aries is asking us to pause and re-examine how authentically we’re living our truth.

A Suggested Response to the Combined Effects and Messages
Remember as reported in previous newsletters February 2026 Saturn and Neptune in Aries will make an exact conjunction. Because this will happen at 0 degrees of Aries (the very beginning of the astrological chart) it will be a time of a global cosmic reset. Between now and then, we have a plenty of time to pause before there is a new impetus to be pushing forward.
This period between now and then may feel like progress has slowed. The Aries retrogrades will turn this time into a cosmic review session.
