A Non-partisan, Astrologically-Informed Case for

Voting in Our Next Election

Geo-political Astrology

The astrological system that informs and interprets world affairs is called Mundane Astrology. (The word

mundane in this context means “world”.) In contrast I am a Personal Astrologer. This means I address

everyday issues of everyday people not world affairs. There is a significant content overlap between Mundane and Personal Astrology. Thus, I typically understand what a Mundane Astrologer is saying about the state of geo-political affairs. And, however, as I am not trained to be making definitive statements about politics -- I tend to shy away from this. However, I find the election topic captivating and, as a result, I have listened to the election predictions of many (more than 20) different Mundane Astrologers. These astrological professionals and also a few astrological dabblers, similar to the polls, are all over the place in their predictions. The overall trend favors Harris to be the winner. However, as there are also some highly respected astrologers who favor Trump there is just not a clear predictable choice. I agree with people who conclude that, as of now, the election results are a toss-up. There is, however an interesting and noteworthy trend. Every astrologer, no matter who they think will win the election says the election will be chaotic and predictably not resolved on 11/5.

Interpreting Astrology Charts in General and the U.S. Birth Chart in Particular

The Sibly chart (named after the astrologer who cast it in the late 1700’s), is also known as the U.S. "birth"

chart. It is a natal chart based on the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, at 5:10 PM in Philadelphia. Commonly accepted astrological wisdom and chart reading protocol is that there are a Big Three components of an astrology chart that are considered to be most important. They are the Sun, Moon, and

Ascendant. Referencing the Sibly Chart the US has:

1. Sun in Cancer The Sun in a country’s chart represents the core identity, purpose, and vitality. For the U.S., having the Sun in Cancer highlights a nation with strong emotional and protective instincts, emphasizing home, family, and security.

2. Moon in Aquarius The Moon in a country’s chart represents emotions, the collective unconscious, the public mood, and instincts. In Aquarius, the Moon points to an emotionally detached, forward-thinking, and innovative collective. This placement suggests a desire for freedom, equality, and individuality—values that are at the core of the country's identity.

3. Ascendant in Sagittarius The Ascendant in a country’s chart represents the persona of the nation in the world—how others perceive it and the nation’s overall approach to life. Sagittarius is a sign associated with exploration, freedom, optimism, and a broad worldview.

As described at the beginning of this article, no matter which candidate an astrologer predicts to win, every astrologer sees much turmoil surrounding the election. The Sibly astrology chart can be utilized to confirm the U.S. is headed for turmoil. There are several different ways the U.S astrology will be negatively influenced by the movement of the planets in real time during the election season. These validate that there will be on-going turmoil surrounding the election. Of concern on election day, is that Saturn, the task master of the zodiac, directly

challenges (a square aspect) the U.S. Sibly Chart Ascendant. As stated earlier the Ascendant is

one of the astrological Big Three. The Ascendant relates to how our nation is perceived by others. This challenging Saturn aspect will negatively influence how the enemies of the U.S. perceive us.

At the same election time, Pluto and Mars will be opposite each other and thus creating a tug of war between them. In astrology, the planets Pluto and Mars are associated with war due to their respective energies representing power, intensity, transformation (Pluto), and aggression, conflict, and action (Mars); when these two planets interact it can signify the potential for intense power struggles, violent situations, and significant societal upheaval. This planetary configuration has the potential to manifest in having our enemies perceive vulnerability and as a result take actions that will lead to war.

My Cosmic Perspective on Why This Matters on a Micro Scale

The date of my birth defines me as very early Baby Boomer. We, (The Baby Boomers), were born when Pluto, the ruler of nuclear weapons (plutonium) was in Leo. Spiritual astrology invites those of us born with Pluto in Leo to pay attention to the fact that we incarnated in a critical timeframe. We were born at a time when a nuclear weapon was actually deployed and its devastating affects revealed. It is my belief that our Baby Boomer higher selves are called to recognize the seriousness of this issue. I also believe we are called to be proactive in helping assure that it does not happen again.

Throughout my adult years I have repeatedly heard people say, “It is a privilege to vote”. Although I have consistently voted ever since I was old enough to do so, my inner cynic at times has thought, “What difference does one vote really make?” Now I see a meaningful difference. The difference I see voting can make now is that, no matter who one votes for,

voting unto itself will be a collective sign and message to both U.S. allies and our enemies that

the American people are committed to the long-term well-being of the nation and the world. Thus, I will conclude by sharing the reminder that: “It is a privilege to vote.”
