Memorial Day was first celebrated 3 years after the end of the civil war. It was founded with a sincere intent to honor fallen soldiers. However, I will admit that for much of my life my
memories of this day are, I am not necessarily proud to say, rather superficial.
On average I believe I have typically focused on where I would be going to enjoy an outdoor cookout at the
beginning of summer. Traditionally, I have not been thinking about fallen soldiers on Memorial Day. And I think I am not alone. If people have not been personally touched by the death of a
military personnel they may also slip into viewing Memorial Day as a day for relaxation.

This year Memorial Day is being observed on Monday May 27. It is a numerology 76/4 day and then relevant to the content and context of this article Tuesday May 28 is a 77/5 day. 77, a doubled number, is a Master Number and, thus Tuesday, can be attributed to being a day when it is possible to access higher vibrations. To define this Master quality a bit more clearly you might think of it as a day when it is possible to be more finely attuned to the best of humanity. In this article I will focus on suggesting how focusing on the Master number numerology of Memorial Day 2024 fits with this day that is consciously set aside to honor people who displayed bravery. It is a time when the best of humanity is honored, and can be a uniquely personal and meaningful time of reflection.
On Recognizing and Honoring Acts of Bravery, Courage and Honor To set the stage of setting this day aside to truly honor service and sacrifice I will share one short story of one courageous soul in the target honoree group. Corporal Evelyn Smith personified bravery as a combat medic in Iraq. During a fierce firefight, she ran into the line of fire to treat wounded soldiers. Despite being wounded, she continued to administer aid until every injured soldier was evacuated. Her selfless actions saved numerous lives and tragically
