US Astrology and Politics
Insights Into Why US Politics Are So Conflicted
and How They MIGHT Even Be Cosmically Inspired for Promoting Healing
About Astrology Influencing the US
As we approach July 4, the birthday of the US (the US Birth Chart is included at the end of this article), I am focusing on sharing information annotated, with my interpretations, about how the
alignment of heavenly bodies in the US astrological chart influence a quintessential American way of being. My intent is to be sharing a cosmic approach to viewing the US and I want to begin by being clear that the intent is not to be promoting a point of view designed to influence picking sides. Who you vote for is up to you. I’m sharing and interpreting based on my particular perceptions of astrology cosmic facts. I welcome responses and input from readers.
Please send any and all comments to hattie@hattieparker.com. I will respond either through commentary in this column or in a
one-to-one in-person dialogue.
About Astrological Chart Reading Throughout History Astrology has a rich multicultural history. Mankind is reputed to have been consulting the stars since
the beginning of time. Recorded formal use of the stars as being relevant to how humans lived their lives is attributed to have originated in Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium B.C. It spread to India. It developed its Western form in Greek civilization during the Hellenistic period and entered Islamic culture as part of the Greek tradition and was returned to European culture through Arabic learning during the Middle Ages. Clearly Astrology is a discipline with a rich and broad depth of meaning.
Telescope observations that commenced in the early seventeenth century opened up new heavenly realms and thus significantly impacted changes in both astronomy and astrology. One such change came when we fast forward many hundreds of years to 1977 to a time when people in the western world had enough leisure time to be focused on contemplating the meaning of life. When using the powers of the telescope, astronomers discovered a heavenly body that was too small to be a planet but too big to be ignored and a new category of heavenly bodies called “planetoids” was initiated, This first planetoid discovery was given the name Chiron. The theme of the myth of Chiron is all about healing.
Chiron and Healing Show Up as Very Important in the US Astrology Chart
Chiron in the US Chart is in the 4 th House of being related to our deepest values. The Greek myth of Chiron is tale of a reversal of fortune. Chiron was granted immortality because he was such a great
healer. However, fate caused him to have a painful injury. Because he was so talented, he knew would never heal his injury. Accepting life on life’s terms, he, with humility, gave up being immortal in
order to end his suffering.
