Where Do We Find Peace?
I saw a headline this week that read, "The Art of Contemplation", and it grabbed me. "Contemplation" isn't a word I've been in the habit of using. And, the power of it struck me immediately.
I could feel it. I sensed in my whole body and being what the author described next as the intention, to "increase awareness through pausing."
You may have heard me talk about the concept of liminality -- the space between. We call our magic into this space between what was and what is becoming. The space between is the present. The space between is the pause.
And The Art of Contemplation is the deliberate choice to pause and reflect before we take our next step.
Rather than rushing from one thing to the next and the next and the next, what if you stop for a moment, take a breath, and reflect on what is before you move on?
What if you stop to smell the roses? That feels like the perfect visual queue for the Art of Contemplation to me!
And when you do, you will find peace.
In our High Vibes Mastery program we teach "Heart Breaths" -- we begin each session with this pause. Eyes closed, one hand on your heart, slow, relaxed breathing, focused on the beating of your heart. This is a beautiful practice to calm your nervous system and to create a moment of reflection.
