How do you define Perseverance?
Years ago I started using the made-up word “Stick-to-it-ive-ness” to describe what dictionary.com describes as perseverance:
continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition : the action or condition or an instance of persevering : steadfastness.
What makes this such a valuable skill or trait?
What I know for sure is that no matter how much success you’ve attained, how many goals you achieved, or dreams you've manifested, there are always barriers to overcome, challenges to navigate, and self-doubt to process as we move through life.
If we're living creatively, with deliberate intention, we will always be uplevelling. And, when we do, we will encounter lots of times when we think we're not good enough, or we don't have what it takes.
Or maybe, everything's going along just fine, and then "Wham!" you get surprised by something you never saw coming. Then you catch yourself scrambling to try to fix everything so that doesn't happen again.
The truth is, we don't need “fixing”. We may be experiencing momentary periods of disconnection or temporary misalignment with our higher self. This doesn't mean we're "broken".
We always have the potential to be self-observant, self-developing, self-expressing in new ways. No one way is better than any other.
That being said, when you are living consciously with intention you “know’ when you are out of alignment. You can feel it.
