"I am proud to present the 2022 Business of the Year award to an organization that continuously shows strong Commitment to Economic Development and growth, Dedication to Community Involvement, top-notch customer service and overall Professional Excellence.
With “Bay Minette’s biggest cheerleader” serving as Branch Manager, this year’s recipient eagerly provides an array of personal and commercial banking services with the utmost professionalism and compassion to our ever-growing North Baldwin. After operating their commercial and personal lending office in Bay Minette for years, The First Bank officially opened doors to their current office in 2016, to offer full-service deposit services with convenient hours and including a full portfolio of checking, savings, CDs and money market accounts, along with ATM 24-hour banking, Internet banking with bill pay and mobile banking options. Both regional and local employees exceed all expectations and constantly go above and beyond to personally ensure customers are well taken care of. The First’s motto rings completely true… they strive to be “Just the bank for you.”
Our cheerleader mentioned earlier, Martha Ryan, and her team, are not only great at what they do… but they are true go-getters and major supporters of our town and the chamber. The Bay Minette branch happily serves as a donation drop-off location for several local projects and drives like Socktober or their book drive, often provides treats for customer appreciation, recognizes local first responders, sponsors local events and fundraisers, participates in fun holiday contests, and so much more. Staff members also represent various civic organizations like Kiwanis and Heritage Women’s Club and are often found volunteering out in the community as much as possible.
