On August 30, 2023, the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Human Resources Group hosted the Monthly HR Meeting with guest speaker Richard Sullivan from Infirmary Health. The meeting offered attendees a valuable platform to exchange information regarding occupational service needs in North Baldwin County. The meeting not only provided a great educational opportunity but also treated participants to a delectable lunch, generously sponsored by North Baldwin Utilities.

Baldwin County Economic Development Alliance awards North Baldwin Utilities with a $2.5 million grant! | |
North Baldwin Utilities received a $2.5 million grant for water infrastructure improvements needed for the Novelis plant in Bay Minette, Alabama. This Economic Development Alliance grant will enable a 2.5 billion-gallon elevated water storage tank to be placed in Bay Minette to serve the Novelis site and the north Baldwin County community. The total construction process for the water storage tank will cost over $6 million, with a total of $6.4 million being invested into these infrastructure improvements, as $3.9 million in local funding is being contributed to match the $2.5 million grant from the EDA.
- The Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded $2.5 million for an elevated water storage tank to be placed in Bay Minette.
- The 2-million-gallon water tank will support operations at Novelis along with the rest of the north Baldwin County community.
- The total project will cost over $6 million, but with local funding matching the EDA grant, a total of $6.4 million is being contributed.
- This grant will aid the community and Novelis, as well as indirectly support the community through Novelis bringing jobs.
The Novelis aluminum plant is expected to bring tremendous economic growth to the community, with Novelis investing approximately $3 billion and creating 1,000 direct jobs!

Join Infirmary Health at the 15th Annual RIDEYELLOW on Saturday, September 16! RIDEYELLOW is an annual Infirmary Health charity bike ride. The ride begins at Halliday Park in Bay Minette, Alabama, with a 6-mile tribute ride. Individuals can choose to participate in only the tribute ride or continue by pedaling the 20, 37, or 62-mile route at their leisure. Rest stops are available along the way and food, beverages, and vendor booths are available when riders return to the park.
