MAY MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Benson's Appliance & Mattress Outlet

Brand new to North Baldwin and located conveniently off highway 59 in Bay Minette, Benson's Appliance & Mattress Outlet has officially opened their doors at 201 Chamber Drive in Bay Minette AL, to sell and service our area! The large showroom offers a wide variety of both brand new and scratch and dent appliances, a nice selection of mattresses and friendly staff to help with whatever you're in the market for!

Benson’s has been owned and operated by Chuck Squires for the last five years and worked for Mr. Benson for eight years prior to purchasing the company. Chuck now has 42 employees, three locations and growing, four delivery trucks and three in-house technicians. Benson’s carries all major brands including but not limited to, GE, Whirlpool, Samsung, Tempurpedic and Sealy. Since opening their doors here in Bay Minette, they've also partnered with 1st Financial (next door) to offer financing - 12 months, same as cash, to make it even easier on the customer!

This 45 year old company is based on family values and prides themselves on servicing what they sell. When asked what makes Benson’s different from big-box stores, Chuck said “Our service is what makes us different.” The technicians, one of whom has been with the company 29 years, know their products well and work hard to provide a positive experience. Among all of the great staff members, Bay Minette's store manager, Sawyer, is a North Baldwin native and a true self starter... she is happy to work with customers to find exactly what they're looking for, for the best available price.

What should you know about Benson’s that makes them special? Every year, the company closes all of their stores and takes the entire staff, plus their families, on vacation! Last year they all visited Great Wolf Lodge and before that, Gatlinburg – Now that’s a company that takes care of their staff!

Stop by and check out their great prices and friendly staff and let them know we appreciate them investing in our community! Be sure to follow Benson's on Facebook and/or check out their website for more information - https://www.bensonappliance.com/!

BBB Business Tip:
How to separate business and personal finances

For many entrepreneurs, it can be difficult to separate business and personal finances. Whether it’s a small-business owner who is just starting or a veteran business owner with a successful enterprise, it can be difficult to find the right balance.
Studies show that one of the most common reasons that nearly 20% of new businesses fail to make it through their first year is due to various financing hurdles, such as cash flow problems and the inability to obtain critical capital. Separating business and personal finances is key to overcoming these hurdles.

By setting up a system to keep personal and business finances separate, entrepreneurs can be confident that they have the cash they need to keep their company running smoothly.
