Greetings from Governor Liz Glowka:
Happy February Soroptimist Members,
I hope this message finds you well and that your new year is off to a strong and successful start. Thank you for the time, dedication, and compassion you bring to Soroptimist and to the women and girls we serve.
As we move through February, many clubs continue working on reviewing and judging their Live Your Dream Award applications. The deadlines have now passed, and each club should have submitted its Region candidate to the LYDA Committee by this time.
Thank you for your careful attention to this important process and for helping to lift up women who are working so hard to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
Celebrating your club awardees is one of the most meaningful moments we experience as Soroptimists. I encourage you to consider collaborating with nearby clubs to make these celebrations especially memorable for the women being honored. Just as importantly, please continue to follow up with your awardees after the event so they know we remain supportive and connected to them. Thoughtful follow-up is key to strengthening our impact through all of our projects and Dream programs.
In addition, the Spring Conference Committee and the Board of Directors are hard at work planning a special and rewarding Spring Conference. We are looking forward to gathering at the Big Top with friends, celebrating club achievements, and sharing the adventures and successes happening across our region. We will also be welcoming a special SIA official visitor who will reinforce the important and lasting impact of Soroptimist International. Please stay tuned for the Call to Conference coming soon.
As always, please know that the Board members and Region Committees are here to support you. If you need assistance at any point during the year, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to serve and ready to help in any way needed.
With gratitude and warm regards,
Governor Liz
