As you can see from the screenshot above, not only are we aware that today is Halloween, but we hope it’s a happy and safe one across our community, which has lots of things happening despite the possibility of continued rain .

The  Park Slope Civic Council hosts its annual parade  from 7th Avenue and 14th Street down to the  Old Stone House . The  Brooklyn Conservatory of Music  becomes the  Con-spook-atory Cobble Hill will also have a parade  while in Carroll Gardens,  Scotto’s , led by our very own John Heyer   will scare you and then calm you with candy . Also, if you're around Warren Street , stop by and say hi as our very generous Joe Anne Brown will be giving out candy to trick or treaters until 8 pm. Even if you don’t want candy, they’ve got a great decoration display .

A big "THANK YOU" to those who responded to my previous emails asking you to let me know about Halloween happenings . For example, just a little while ago, I was given a heads up about a free puppet show taking place tonight, 5:30 until 9:00, put on by Dzieci Theatre at 241 Garfield Place . Here’s a video of past performances .

I’ll be back to more mundane reminders before you know it, but please note that Alternate Side Parking (ASP) will be suspended tomorrow , Friday, November 1st. . If you plan on using the subway tomorrow, click here for scheduled service change s  and here for   bus service changes . Also, don’t forget that our November Full Board meeting is 2 weeks from yesterday, November 13 th, at M.S 51 , and, if you haven’t already done so , go vote!

That's all I've got for today, feel free to share this information and have a happy and safe Halloween!

PS- If you have the time, you may want to learn more about the history of Halloween and haunting in our great city.
