YOUmedia Hartford coming to Albany!

Special thanks to the Mandell Family Foundation for awarding HPL a grant for the creation of a mini YOUmedia at the Library’s Albany Avenue branch.

YOUmedia Hartford is a next-generation-digital-learning-and-maker space for teens ages 13-19. Its combination of professional tools, eager learners, and skilled mentors, sets the bar for out-of-school learning. Partnerships with secondary schools and businesses create pathways for students beyond the library walls and beyond high school.
GHLA at the Library

Seeking legal assistance?

Come speak with our Community Justice Fellow law students for information about services at Greater Hartford Legal Aid (GHLA). GHLA provides free legal help to eligible people in Hartford County in the following areas: family violence, housing, public benefits, employment, education, elder, and immigration matters for victims of violence.

Community Justice Fellow law students will be available:

Monday 12:30-3:30 pm
(Hablamos Español)

Wednesday 1:30-4:30 pm

Thursday 10:00 am-1:00 pm

Our Community Justice Fellows are law student interns who cannot provide legal advice, but who can provide information about Legal Aid; take intake information for evaluation by GHLA staff and attorneys; and direct members of the community to legal and social resources.
