Happy Halloween
from the Sarasota Farmers Market
Dear Community,

October is always a special time at the Sarasota Farmers Market, and while this year is a bit different, we are grateful that we can still enjoy a fun and safe Halloween together this Saturday morning.

We encourage our customers and vendors to come to the Market in costume - you might just be featured on our social media! Make sure you don't forget your face mask - and continue to follow our directional signage and social distancing requirements - as you stroll through to find some exciting seasonal treats available only at the Market.
Our friends on State Street are hosting some fun, safe, and family-friendly Halloween festivities! After you stop by your favorite Farmer's Market vendors, make your way to visit the State Street Merchants for safe trick-or-treating, festive live music, and a selfie photo booth and costume contest, hosted by Brick's Smoked Meats.

Read below to learn more about the unique items and new vendors featured at this week's Market!
Sift Bakehouse and Five-O Donut Co. will have a limited amount of spooky donuts and pumpkins available at the market this Saturday. Treat your favorite ghouls and goblins to donuts or cookies to make their Halloween extra special this year.

Sift sells only at the markets and Five-O can be found during the week at:

Open for takeout aka you enter/choose/pay and for preordered curbside aka you call/order/pay/arrive/call/they bring it to your car. Owner Christine Nordstrom is opening her newest shop in early November at 3800 S Tamiami Trail in the shops at Siesta Row.
Looking for a last minute ghostly touch to your Halloween decor? Sarasota Candle has you covered with one of a kind handcrafted candles. Drew Robinshaw concocts with his witchy brews a wide variety of frightful lights to decorate your witchy den, light a path for intrepid trick or treaters, or give your jack o’lanterns a little something extra.
New Vendor on 1st Street: Circle 6 Farm and Ranch
We would like to introduce you to our newest market vendor. Circle 6 Farm and Ranch is a 5th generation family of cattle ranchers established in 1982. All of their products are raised on their farm in Duette, FL. All of their beef is grass fed from start to finish, and their chickens are pasture raised. You won't want to miss out on meeting the Horak family this Saturday. You can find them on 1st Street by the music.

They will be bringing chicken eggs, whole chicken, boneless skinless chicken breast, chicken leg quarters, chicken wings, chicken carcass (for soup stock, broth), chicken giblets, duck eggs, ground beef, beef marrow bones, beef soup bones, and beef liver. What's really unique to our market is that you get to meet the farmers face to face. Week after week you will cultivate and grow that relationship between farmer and consumer.
Music on 1st Street, 9am - 12:30pm
Justin Layman grew up listening to John Mayer and Dave Matthews so his early music was heavily influenced by that acoustic guitar sound. Once he started playing music as a career he switched his focus to the Beatles and blues rock bands. His music is focused around the story then the feel, you have to have both to leave an impression.
In compliance with our agreement with the City of Sarasota, masks are required at the Sarasota Farmers Market. This will ensure all of us stay safe and healthy. If you forget a mask, we will be giving away free ones in our market information booth.
