Ninth Judicial Emergency Extension This week, Georgia Supreme Court Justice Harold Melton issued his ninth order extending the Statewide Judicial Emergency. Judges remain authorized to resume jury trials while taking every precaution to follow public health guidelines. Chief Justice Melton urged vigilance in maintaining the health and safety of everyone involved and the continued use of Zoom and other video conferencing technology to the fullest extent possible. Sleighbells on the Square Saturday is the last day to run in this year's virtual Sleighbells on the Square 5K race. If you've registered but haven't picked up your shirt yet, you can do so today at the Steele Law Firm between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Don't forget to take a picture of your mileage and time to send in! 2020 Annual Military Toy Drive ~ Marietta The Georgia National Guard Christmas Assistance Program is designed to be a supplemental program for service members that are struggling financially and are not able to provide for their children. Those in need may be deployed, may have recently returned from overseas, are classified as a wounded warrior or are a traditional National Guardsman.We are collecting toys and gift cards (gift cards for the older children) to support our local military families (Georgia National Guard, etc.). Please join us in our gratitude mission by giving our nation’s youngest heroes the most amazing Christmas they could imagine! The collection donation deadline is Tuesday, 12/15/2020.
