Hanukkah is just a few days away! The first candle will be lit on December 12th , and will continue to fill our homes with light and joy for eight special nights. Here are some useful resources to help you celebrate the Hanukkah miracle; share new and old traditions with your loved ones; teach the children in your life about the Hanukkah story; and engage in wonderful opportunities for  tikkun olam  during this season.

Shabbat Hanukkah Zimrah
Join us on Friday, December 15 for a special Shabbat Hanukkah Zimrah. Services will be held at 7:30pm and will feature the music of Peter Gordon (flutes), Dimitris Mahlis (oud), and Ava Nahas (percussion).
URJ's Resource Guide at ReformJudaism.org
Learn about rituals and traditions, use Shalom Sesame to teach the story of Hanukkah to your little ones at home, find recipes, light a virtual hanukkiyah, and much, much more!
Social Justice
The Festival of Lights reminds us of the need to shed light on the darkness in our midst. Just as we light our Hanukkiyah and say the blessings, we too bring light to others as we become a blessing.

Below you will find opportunities to bring justice themes to your Hanukkah Menorah lighting. Enhance your ritual this year by using the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism's Hanukkah guide with your guests and bring the theme of justice to your lighting.
