Dear Friend and Neighbor,

This evening will mark the first night of  Hanukkah , a celebration of perseverance and overcoming adversity, through light. Members of the Jewish community across the city gather to light the first of eight candles to kick off the eight night long holiday.

To all those celebrating, I wish you a joyous first night of Hanukkah, hoping that you are spending this opening evening of the festival of lights with family and loved ones. As you light the first candle this evening, I encourage you to look back on this year in remembrance for the positive efforts you have made toward self improvement and the improvement of your community.

Chag Semach and have a safe and happy holiday!

Sincerely,
