Hello and welcome to the Economic Development Corner! With Summer coming to an end, we hope to keep the momentum going through the rest of this year with a lineup of Fall festivities across our Project Homegrown locations and beyond.

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
The Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 through October 15. The celebration includes a series of events, showcasing the resources DCEO offers to help businesses, an initiative inviting Illinoisans to support Latinx/o/a-owned businesses, as well as social media spotlights recognizing Latin@/e/x-owned businesses throughout the state. 

Join the celebration to help sustain the nearly 124,000 Illinois Latin@/e/x-owned businesses who play a pivotal role in Illinois’ vibrant economy by visiting DCEO Website for lists of businesses and information on events. Make sure you support and shop local Latin@/e/x-owned businesses during Hispanic Heritage Month and beyond!

All business representatives across the City of Berwyn are invited to attend this informal gathering hosted by the Berwyn Development Corporation. Our new roundtable format has created a space to hear from you about new ideas, questions & challenges.
