Dear Neighbors,

Happy Holidays!

May the spirit of the holidays guide you through the season, and may your time spent be filled with Love, Joy and Peace.

This holiday season, I will be spending time at home enjoying some Christmas classic favorite movies as I await Christmas Day, when in our Christian tradition, we celebrate the birth of Christ.

However you celebrate the holidays, take safety precautions to ensure that you and everyone around you are safe. Taking care of each other is one way to give a little love at Christmas time.

Merry Christmas!  Feliz Navidad!
Joyeux Noël!  Happy Kwanzaa!

Hispanic Heritage Month Award Recognition
presented to Memorial Miramar Hospital Doctor Aurelio Castrellon

In recognition of Hispanic Heritage and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, at an October Commission meeting, I had the privilege to recognize Memorial Hospital Doctor Aurelio Castrellon for his accomplishments and contribution to our community. Born in Panama, Dr. Castrellon is Board Certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine. He cares for breast cancer patients at Memorial Cancer Institute. He is actively involved in research and clinical trials to provide patients with access to new drugs. He is making a difference in the lives of his patients and bringing us all closer to a cure. He is also the author of "Finding life in illness" - a brief autobiography directed towards any person whose faith might have become affected due to the influences of this world.
