Tips to Keep Your Home Safe for All
December 2020
Happy Holiday from Home Healthsmith!
What a Year 2020 Has Been...

Whew...! What a Year.... We know that we are not the only ones that will be glad to see this year end! BUT...in doing so, there are so many things we all have to be thankful for and there are blessings all around us. One thing that I feel we have all learned is to be grateful and never take a person or anything for granted. Life is a blessing.....

Have you shopped at Cardi's recently? Check out our products in their lift recliner and the mattress sections. We show various products at all of their locations to help provide balance when one is getting out of a chair or bed. If not, you can always check out the Cardi's selection of items we have at our facility in Portsmouth. We have a number of 'stocking stuffers' or last minute items.

Our mission has always been 'Mobility + Safety = Freedom' and we know that we are keeping many people safe in their homes. As you gather with friends and family this year, know that we are here to keep your loved ones safe.

Merry Christmas to you and your family,
Linda & Bill & the team at Home Healthsmith

Project of the Month...

We installed an EZ-Access Vertical Platform Lift for a couple in Portsmouth, RI that needed a safe access into their home through their garage. We removed the stairs, railing, installed the VPL, built safer stairs and a railing, worked with Melanson Electric to have an electric outlet installed and the couple now has a safe access into their home.

At-Home Workouts for Seniors
Staying in during COVID-19 restrictions shouldn’t mean spending hours on the couch, especially for seniors.

“It is always important for older adults to exercise to help improve their overall immunity, but especially now during the spread of COVID-19, when they are at greater risk of complications from the virus,” says Jorge F. Corzo, M.D., director of physical medicine and rehabilitation, Riverview Medical Center. Other benefits to exercising include increasing strength and flexibility, which can help reduce the risk of falls, stress relief and better sleep.
Holiday Hours:

We will be closing at noon on Thursday, December 24th and will also be closed on Friday, December 25th so that our employees may spend time with their families.

We are still available for service related calls. We will also be closed on Friday, January 1st. We will be open for regular hours on Dec 28th, 29th, 30th & 31st.
