I also hope you will use this end of the year—often full of hustle and bustle—to take a moment of reflection yourself. If you are reading this newsletter, you have been in some way engaged with Manna’s mission of sharing food, educating, and advocating to end hunger. That commitment means you are someone special. I hope you take into account the importance of what you do and how you do it.
To wrap up, I want to give a special thanks to the staff and Board of Manna for moving our organization forward toward a vision of Food for All. Former Board Chair, Holly Wong, will be serving as interim director in January as the Board finalizes the process of selecting a new CEO.
As best you can, keep supporting Manna and its principles of being service-driven, community centered, and transformational. To quote Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who helped lead South Africa to overcome apartheid, “Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
Warmly,
