Creating Art that Challenges Perceptions of Disability
Thank you for making 2017 the best year ever at Interact!

We've wrapped up our three-year exploration of "the fool" in history, literature, and theater, and many of you enjoyed our final production--Feast of Fools at the Lab Theater. Feast of Fools welcomed Kevin Kling back to our stage as our most foolish storyteller, along with award-winning artists like scenic designer Joel Sass and costume designer Sonya Berlovitz.

We have more in store for you in 2018, when we begin our next three-year exploration of
Misfits and Madmen: Genius in the Margins--a look at how outsiders and outcasts have shaped culture and history. We'll start by revisiting the story of jazz when creativity and genius bubbled up from people that were on the margins.

Interact Studio collaborated with the Walker Art Center & MN Artists to create their own artist profiles which included a digital portfolio and resume. Visual Artist, Luke Lyons, was awarded the VSA Emerging Artist Grant 2017 and artists from the community including Seitu Jones and Chiaki O'Brien led workshops In 2018, we'll be unveiling our first-ever online gallery--a chance to purchase your favorite Interact artwork in just a few clicks.

Interact's vision of radical inclusion continues to transform lives by expanding ideas of what is possible. All your support in this past year fills our hearts with gratitude and hope for the New Year.  If you haven't had a chance, there's still time to invest in transforming the lives of our artists, just click the donate button below.

We are wishing you all the very happiest of holidays and thank you again for your support!
