As we close out 2024, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the incredible community of donors, supporters, and friends who make our work possible. Your generosity and belief in the power of mentorship have created lasting change for so many youth and communities across Southern Africa. To celebrate this season, dedicated GSGC-supported Mentors have come together to share a message of thanks. Thanks for your support in helping girls discover their potential, empowering boys to become allies, fostering creativity through the Creative Expressions Contest, growing alumni clubs, providing life-changing education scholarships and so much more throughout 2024!

Let’s Keep the Momentum Going!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for A Giving Tuesday Storytelling Special with GSGC! Your participation and generosity during the event—and throughout this season—have been truly meaningful. We’re thrilled to share that our end-of-year storytelling campaign got off to a strong start! So far, we've raised over $16,400 toward our $50,000 goal. These funds will help bring the powerful stories of our youth and mentors to life, inspiring communities and furthering our mission to empower girls and strengthen communities.

If you haven’t yet contributed, there’s still time! Donations made by December 31st are tax-deductible for U.S-based supporters, offering a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact before tax season closes.

Voices of Impact from Giving Tuesday

We’re thrilled to share that the four remarkable stories told during our Giving Tuesday Storytelling Special are now live on our blog! These stories were shared with courage and authenticity, From Priscilla’s journey to founding GSGC, to Ratidzai’s graduation stage in India, to Mentor Ndlela’s path to wildlife advocacy, and Racheal’s journey to empowering young mothers—each story is a testament to the ripple effect of hope and support.

Art with Heart: Russell Ford Raises Support for GSGC through Open Studios 2024

Long-time friend Russell Ford, an artist in Vancouver, Washington, fired up his kiln once again to raise money for GSGC during the community’s annual Open Studios tour in early November. In past years, he’s created bugs and fish and leaves and tiles, but this year it was masks!

Inspiration

We’re proud to celebrate GSGC Mentors who recently achieved remarkable milestones! Prosper Siphambili graduated in Business Administration, Racheal Musonda Ng’andu earned her Teaching degree, and Nyika and Talent Muyambo received Honorary Doctorates in Humanity. Their dedication to personal development and growth inspires the youth they mentor and us all!
