Dear Friends of The President Woodrow Wilson House, As we reflect on the past year, we'd like to extend our sincerest gratitude for your support. With your help, we were able to open our doors again to the public for tours and special events, create a productive and engaging learning environment for our scholars, host our annual fundraiser, "100 Years & Counting," and continue to preserve this place that matters. We look to 2022 with excitement for what's to come: Partnering with Howard University Students to conduct research and facilitate community engagement opportunities, thanks to a wonderful grant from the National Endowment For The Humanities The Grand Opening of our exhibit, Suffrage Outside, Inside The return of our Tuesday Speaker Series in February (watch our past Speakers on Wilson House Youtube Channel) Adding exciting new Specialty Tours, including "Under One Roof: Living and Working in The Wilson House" and "Three Generations of Wilson Women." We wish you a happy holiday season and hope to see you at The Wilson House in the New Year!

Wreath Laying at National Cathedral for Wilson's Birthday

Each year, a U.S. military general or naval flag officer lays a wreath at the gravesite of each deceased former U.S. president on his birthday. Despite the pandemic, this duty is still carried out. We invite you to join us at the tomb of Woodrow Wilson at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, December 28th for his commemorative wreath laying. Please arrive by 9:30 AM to allow time to park and find the entrance as the ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Prayers will be said for the President, as well as First Lady Edith Bolling Wilson who died on the President's birthday in 1961.
