Message From The Director

As we enter time for our winter holiday break, it is important to recognize that this time away from organized play is meant to rejuvenate and rest, as well as to spend more time connecting with family and friends. One thing we truly value is balancing soccer and personal life. This balance is different for everyone, and we value all variances. If you want to get better, practicing on your own is vital. Players should do this regularly if they love the sport and aspire to improve their technical ability to play at higher levels. If you want to really improve, you need to push yourself to learn and increase skills and fitness. However, some people need to take a break and do completely different things in order to recharge. Whatever you choose, make sure it speaks to your heart and is the right thing for you. Take this time to enjoy the holidays you celebrate and to spend quality time with important people in your lives.

Coach's Corner - Supplemental Tryouts


 Each year at the beginning of January following our winter break, we hold what we call Supplemental Tryouts. These tryouts are for any new players who want to join our club. Often times players who have been playing rec want to take the leap to club soccer, people move into the area, or people just decide they want to join the club.

   Over the years, we have seen between 20-60 total players per Supplemental Tryout register and attend across all age groups. Possible outcomes include players trying out and not making a team because they do not meet the level of play, players being added as Practice Player to rosters so they get needed training and coaching in the months leading up until formal tryouts in late April/early May, teams adding 1-2 players to their offical roster to bolster numbers, and in some cases, creating a new team in an age group or with a combined age groups for the spring season.

   Please note that this is NOT a tryout for players currently on an ECFC roster. Players already on rosters are registered and part of age group teams through the end of the season. This is for any new players that want to join the club. Official trtyouts for next season for all players will be later in 2025. Dates and locations listed under our calendar below.
