SAN JOAQUIN TEETH

Keeping your teeth healthy is one of the best things we can do for overall health. That's why First 5 San Joaquin, San Joaquin County Public Health Services, dentists, non-profit organizations, and other partners have come together as the San Joaquin Treatment & Education for Everyone on Teeth & Health (San Joaquin TEETH) collaborative to help children and families have a healthy and happy smile.  Visit www.sjteeth.org for helpful resources and information on dental health, and check out the new "find a dentist" mapping tool!
TRAINING WHEELS GE TS A TRSDP MAKEOVER!

Training Wheels (TW), an early literacy bus that travels to preschools and child care centers throughout San Joaquin County, has a new bus wrap featuring the Talk. Read. Sing. Draw. Play. campaign!  TW visits include a special storytime where children ages 0 to 5 and their teachers/caregivers enjoy stories, songs and poetry. To schedule a TW visit, call (209) 937-814.

READY4K AND OTHER PARENTING APPS

Ready4K  is a free, research-based text-messaging service for parents.   Each week, parents will receive three texts with fun facts and easy tips to boost their child's learning. Ready4K activities build on the things that you already do with your child -- like getting ready for school, meal time, and going to the store -- to make supporting your child's development fast, fun and easy.  Other helpful parenting apps:    www.vroom.org and  www.text4baby.org.
