We are thrilled to be a finalist in the $1 billion #BuildBackBetter Regional Challenge from the @eda.commerce. Our coalition is working together to supercharge a sustainable and viable mariculture industry for the long-term benefit of Alaska’s economy, environment, and communities. We are proud to partner with Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation, the Alaska Mariculture Alliance, Central Council Tlingit and Haida, Kenai Peninsula Economic Development District (KPEDD), Southwest Alaska Municipal Conference (SWAMC), Prince William Sound Economic Development District (PWSEDD), the University of Alaska, Alaska SeaGrant, the Alaska Longline Fisherman’s Association, and the State of Alaska as well as numerous other stakeholders on this effort, with the potential of a transformational investment in Phase 2 of the #BuildBackBetter Regional Challenge. This annual conference is scheduled to coincide with the Alaska Legislative session and provides attendees access to the state policy makers. Southeast Conference is partnering with the Federal Maratime Administration ( MARAD) to bring you an opportunity you won't want to miss! In light of the recent infrastructure bill, there are many questions surrounding the future of transportation within our great state. The Transportation Symposium will bring together public and private sector leaders on the local, state, and national level to identify where we are and what our transportation needs are for economic growth, how to program transportation infrastructure, federal resources and how to step into the future. Come to the Mid-Session Summit and stay an extra day to attend the Transportation Symposium, Thursday, February 10 at the Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall in Juneau. Lunch and Snacks include.

SEC Welcomes Transportation and Special Projects Manager, Jon Bolling
|

|
Southeast Conference is thrilled to announce the newest addition our staff, Jon Bolling. Jon joins Southeast Conference as Transportation and Special Projects Manager. Jon worked nearly 30 years for the City of Craig, both as city planner and city administrator. Jon has a long history with Southeast Conference, serving on the SEC board of directors for a number of years, and as SEC President from 2007-2008. Born and raised in Ketchikan, Jon has lived in Craig since 1992, where he enjoys time spent with his family, and hunting, fishing, hiking, and other activities outdoors.
