DOE Letter of Intent training session on December 15, 2020.
The Department of Energy is the only agency that requires a Letter of Intent prior to submitting a full proposal to their SBIR / STTR program. In this webinar, you'll learn the purpose of an LOI, timelines, using the submission web portal, and strategies for preparing and submitting a compelling Letter of Intent.
December 15 from 12pm to 1pm CST.

What happens
after the award?

Tip #6
Accurate time tracking will be required.
All 11 agencies that award SBIR/STTR dollars expect companies to accurately track every cost associated with the funding. Even if you’re a very small business, they expect you to have a basic time tracking system in place even before you receive the award.

Institutions must now submit FCOI policy electronically in eRA Commons
Institutions receiving NIH grants must now maintain an up-to-date, written and enforced policy to identify and manage Investigator Financial Conflicts of Interest (FCOI) and to post the policy on their publicly accessible website.

Put together a TAB, ASAP.
A Technical Advisory Board can provide significant advantages to your start-up business when you are in the process of seeking funding from equity investment or non-dilutive funding such as SBIR/STTR grants.
