Ski season opened Wednesday, November 25, with top to bottom skiing at Aspen Mountain, Thunderbowl lift at Aspen Highlands, Panda Peak at Buttermilk, and a small area at Snowmass. Thanks to Mike Kaplan, our CEO of Aspen Skico, and all the incredible snowmaking specialists, groomers, lifties, etc…
There are lots of very happy people!
Friday, December 11, our winter weather pattern started and dumped 7-9 inches with another 16 inches since then!!! For anyone who has spent years of winter seasons here, this is a very BIG DEAL----to get out and downhill ski, uphill, cross country, and again to just enjoy our magnificent mountain splendor. It looks very festive in town with sparkling lights interlaced with pine greenery and snow.
Many of you are asking about our Covid Rules. Restaurants are inside/outside with 25% capacity- making a reservation is highly recommended. You walk in with a mask, sit down, order drinks, food, and remove it. Retail and grocery stores post their limit allowed inside at once-wear a mask-has not been a problem.
We are so grateful to enjoy our special mountain town. It always surprises me how easy it is to get out by yourself and see so few people. I walked my neighborhood hills and saw one person with a dog in 50 minutes!
Come for the holiday spirit and joy of wind, sun, and
snow in your face!
