Learning Gate Student: Paige Miranda

Learning Gate would like to recognize Paige Miranda!

Paige participated in the US Equestrian Athlete Lettering program. This program was developed to provide recognition for the accomplishments of young equestrians and encourage their future involvement in equestrian sport.

US Equestrian recognizes the dedication of equestrians preparing for competition through practice and training sessions as similar to other students in athletic programs and developed this program to honor individual achievements with a varsity letter in the student's chosen sport, regardless of the availability of an equestrian team or club through their school.

Congratulations Paige on this accomplishment!

Is there a LG teacher you want to nominate?

Bay News 9 is starting a new initiative in January called A+ Teachers.

They are asking students or their parents to nominate amazing teachers who go out of their way every day to ensure student success.

Bay News 9 will pick a teacher from the nominees and come out to your school to visit their classroom. They will do a story on what makes the teacher an awesome educator.

Students (or their parents) should send an email to [email protected] and explain what makes their teacher A+.

All donations can be dropped off at Hanna campus in the front office or any kindergarten, first grade, or second grade classroom.

Music and Theater is coming to Learning Gate

Grosso Music and Fine Arts is excited to be offering many different music programs at Learning Gate beginning in January! From beginning instrument classes to Choral and Rock instruction.

Our hope is it will give parents an amazing opportunity to develop creative artists and performers as well as innovative thinkers. You can register via email at [email protected]

Help Needed - Sewing/Fine Net Mending

Every spring and fall, Mr. Jim conducts a migratory bird banding project on the LG campus. Over time some of the nets develop holes that need to be mended. He is looking for a parent/grandparent volunteer who is skilled with a needle/thread and has a lot of patience.

It is different from traditional sewing.

Library Volunteers

We need assistance during the times classes are coming in and out of the library. Volunteers will work the circulation desk for checking books in and out, assist the children with locating books, light cleaning, and shelf returned books. Opportunities available throughout the school year!
