Redirection: Movers, Shakers and Shifters

More than ever before, people over 55 are not retiring after a major career or life change but doing something remarkable. Dr. Suzanne Cook, Professor at York University, calls it "Redirection".  It's a term to describe paving a new path, shifting careers, transferring skills and experiences into new occupations and redirecting into new work and employment.

Create a More Mindful Job Search to Combat the Stress of the Job Hunt

One of the most used words this decade is stress. Stress has become a large problem in job search as well. Looking for a job is a job in itself. Most people would agree.  Though some stress is not all bad, too much stress can be overwhelming to the point of an ineffective job hunt.

-  " I want to express my complete satisfaction with the services provided to me by Paula Saavedra (Career Specialist) with the Centre for Education & Training.
When I came to this center I was very frustrated, but Paula helped me to overcome it and explore career opportunities. Paula was very helpful in guiding me through the job seeking procedure and identifying my transferable skills and areas of expertise. Through the whole process I could understand and appreciate the depth and the professional approach which was adopted which, I believe is unique to the Centre for Education & Training .
Thanks to Paula, I have a full-time job now, and I will recommend the Centre for Education & Training to all my friends who are still looking for a job, as here, they will find a complete support and the most helpful staff ever.
Thank you all for all your support when I needed it the most."

- "I have had the pleasure to work with Paula and the team at TCET over 4 years and have found them to be an instrumental part of my recruitment strategy.
Our most recent hire was for an Office Manager. Paula had recommended Emma who came from a marketing background in her home country but had a ton of transferable skills.
Paula does a fantastic job getting to know our business and culture to make the right recommendations which saves me a ton of time.
Emma has been with us for over 4 months now and has become a valuable member of the team; she has picked things up quickly, is eager to take on additional responsibilities and further define the role".
