Plug-In Electric Vehicle Readiness: A new page on the Alternative Fuels Data Center provides resources to help communities plan for the arrival of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) and PEV charging. These resources replace the Plug-In Electric Vehicle Readiness Scorecard tool and provide more recent examples. Explore the new resources for conducting PEV readiness planning.
6th Annual Florida Automated Vehicle Summit Convenes in Tampa: Attendees from across the globe met at the 6th Annual Florida Automated Vehicle (FAV) Summit in Tampa, Florida. The Summit brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss the implementation and deployment of automated, connected, electric, and shared mobility technologies. This year, attendees were also updated on the the progress of the THEA Connected Vehicle (CV) Pilot, which is a U.S. Department of Transportation-awarded contract that tests and deploys CV technology in downtown Tampa. The CV Pilot project is led by the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA), who also hosted this year's FAV Summit. THEA is testing connected vehicle technologies that intend to improve safety and mobility by reducing conflicts and improving traffic flow.
