Letter from Carol J. Carter, GlobalMindED CEO and President:
As we close 2017, we are grateful to have a GlobalMindED community, which is nationally and globally 2,000 strong. We have helped more than 200 First Gen students get professional skills, mentors, internships and jobs with promotion pathways in companies that value a capable, diverse talent pipeline. We have also held our industry partners, school districts and colleges to high standards of inclusivity on campus and on their governing boards.
Finally, our
Digital Inclusion Award in partnership with WCET showcases individuals and organizations promoting access with innovative technology solutions. Thank you for working with us to close the equity gap and provide strong employment options and opportunity for all to succeed.
This fall, the GlobalMindED team has had the pleasure to work with Andrenique Meigs, a student from Langston University who has worked hard to overcome and succeed as one of our strongest interns.
WCET and GlobalMindED are accepting submissions for the 2018 Digital Inclusion Award. This Award is a unique recognition of an individual, organization or program having shown significant impact on low-income and/or first-generation learner populations with regard to increasing involvement in global digital leadership.
We invite you to donate to the annual GlobalMindED
First-Generation Student Leadership Program
Your support and contributions will translate into valuable networking connections for First-Gen student leaders and their peers.
