Youth Leadership Program partnership continues with Tampa Bay Buccaneers


Safe & Sound Hillsborough facilitates the 2022-2023 Youth Leadership Program alongside the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with students from Young Middle Magnet School. This year’s theme is CONNECTION and addresses 5 components: Self-Awareness, Responsible Decision-Making, Self-Management, Relationship Skills and Social Awareness

Welcome Aboard: We are pleased to welcome Thaddeus Wright to the Safe & Sound Hillsborough team!


Thaddeus is a Tampa native and retired United State Marine with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently completing his master's degree in School Counseling.


Thaddeus will serve as the Reporting Center Manager, a community-based alternative to detention, providing academic and enrichment programming for youth in Hillsborough County.

Giving Back: Program Administrator Rosalie Smith had the pleasure of serving as a panelists on the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers (HAWL) during their Giving Back Membership Luncheon celebrating 40 years of service. Panelists spoke about their respective organization's purpose, personal passions, how those passions led them to the work they are doing today and more.


HAWL's mission is to be a diverse, inclusive organization dedicated to promoting gender equality in the legal profession & under the law. Learn more via hawl.org.



Tampa Bay Buccaneers Linebacker J.J. Russell supports Safe & Sound Hillsborough through NFL’s My Cause, My Cleats Campaign


We sincerely thank the NFL, our social justice partners the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Linebacker J.J. Russell for choosing Safe & Sound Hillsborough as his “My Cause, My Cleats” non-profit organization this year.


The NFL’s annual campaign was created for players to raise awareness for non-profit organizations and causes that has personally impacted their lives off the field and to wear their heart on their cleats during an upcoming game.
