Letter from F.T. Burden, CEO

Springboard Community Services

Happy Holidays Cheryl,

Without a doubt, 2021 has been filled with a variety of collective challenges. Many have wrestled with fear, anxiety, and uncertainty as we’ve persevered through a global pandemic and a stressful season of establishing our new normal.

However, with a great team and supporters like you, we have shown great resilience, creativity, and courage. We’ve adapted to new, innovative ways of working and we’ve grown a new appreciation for our physical and mental health, as COVID-19 offered frequent reminders about how truly precious and limited our time with loved ones can be.

Over the past year, we made the following significant steps forward...

Springboard opens

Youth Resource Center

In July 2021, Springboard Community Services opened the Youth Resource Center (YRC) to provide young people with mental health counseling, case management, housing navigation, homeless diversion, family support, rapid rehousing, and workshops.

This hub of housing and support services for homeless and unstably housed youth ages 18-24, will expand its services to include Drop-In Center services, effective January 10, 2022.

The YRC is a youth-centered, safe, centrally located center that offers vital services to vulnerable youth. The Drop-In services are for vulnerable young people who are living on the streets. Many are escaping, abuse, neglect, violence, and sex trafficking. They are all striving for the stability of a home, a safe respite from the streets...
