Government Corner
Happy Holidays, Spartans!

We hope you enjoy our holiday video featuring messages from the A.S. Board of Directors and staff and student assistants from various A.S. departments!

Congratulations to the 70 recipients of the A.S. Scholarship Program. A.S. hosted a virtual banquet last
November 18th to recognize this year’s scholars. To find out how you can apply to the next round of
scholarships in the spring, please visit the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office. Recipients will receive their scholarship in Fall 2022.

Associated Students is looking for students-at-large to join a number of A.S. Committees next semester.
Both the A.S. Programming Board and Lobby Corps are actively recruiting at the moment. Learn more
about committees by clicking here. Apply at tinyurl.com/joinAScommittee.

With new cases rising from the Omicron variant, please remember to stay safe, vigilant, and healthy by
following COVID-19 guidelines such as wearing masks and practicing social distancing. For more
information about COVID-related information, visit the Student Health Center.

Early in the spring, we will be welcoming new students to SJSU. WoWSJSU, a series of events planned to welcome frosh and transfer students, will launch in January. Please help welcome the new students into the Spartan community.

As always, be on the lookout for events and programs early in the spring! Continue to follow our social
media @as_sjsu for more information. Wishing you all a fun and restful winter break!
