Get Involved

Give Smart, Give Back Before the End of the Year

As 2025 winds down, consider these impactful, tax-smart ways to support our mission:

  • IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): If you’re 70½ or older, you can transfer up to $108,000 annually from your IRA directly to charity. If you file jointly, each spouse may contribute up to $108,000 for a combined total of $216,000. It is recommended to initiate your gift by mid-December to ensure year-end processing. Please consult your tax advisor. For details, visit the IRS website.
  • Donating Appreciated Securities: Make a meaningful impact by donating stocks, bonds or mutual funds held for more than a year. This strategy may help you avoid capital gains taxes while supporting CRC’s work.

Support CRC at Lazy Acres

We’re grateful to Lazy Acres Encinitas for selecting CRC as their local nonprofit partner this season. Through December 24, Lazy Acres Encinitas shoppers can donate to CRC at checkout. Every gift helps nourish and uplift our community.
